The war in Sudan continues unabated, causing difficulties for other countries to access the airport in Khartoum. The ongoing conflict prompted the US and UK militaries to evacuate their diplomats from the country. Although a temporary ceasefire between the army and the militia had been in effect since April 15, it seems to have broken down. According to the WHO, the conflict has resulted in over 420 deaths and at least 3,700 injuries.
