Concerns are growing about the fulfillment of USD 1.5 bln in donor pledges made towards humanitarian relief for Sudan at a conference in Geneva this week. Fears that the aid might not reach those in need under the current authority are mounting. In response, negotiations for a new truce are being mediated by Saudi Arabia and the United States. These discussions will take place in the Saudi capital, Jeddah, between delegations from the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
