Tunisia economy witnessed a YoY growth of 2.1% in Q1 2023, outpacing the prior quarter’s revised 1.7% increase. This growth was driven primarily by a 3.2% expansion in the services sector. However, the energy and mining sectors plunged by 10.1% due to a decline in oil and natural gas extraction and mining. The industrial sector also contracted, while the agricultural sector experienced a 3.1% downturn due to severe drought.
