Uganda’s economy expanded by 4.9% YoY in Q1 2023, marking the ninth straight quarter of growth, with this expansion primarily driven by the agricultural sector, which grew by 7.7% thanks to increased cash crop activities. The services sector also recorded robust growth of 7.2%, while the industrial sector made a minor recovery, growing by 0.6%.
