Zambia’s annual inflation rate increased to a 32-month high of 15.5% in August, fueled by an ongoing El Nino-induced drought impacting food prices and hydroelectric power generation. Food prices rose to 17.6% from 17.4% in July, while non-food inflation slightly decreased to 12.5%.
