The G20 is moving towards backing the formation of the Zambian creditors’ committee under its program to coordinate the restructuring of the country’s struggling loans. Zambia’s external public liabilities grew to $17.3bln by the end of 2021, with about one-third of the total owed to Chinese lenders.
