Vedanta Resources Ltd., owned by Indian billionaire Anil Agarwal, and ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc have settled their four-year legal battle over ownership of a Zambian copper mining complex. That is a win for Agarwal and the Zambian government as Vedanta pledges to invest USD one billion over five years in the project, potentially reviving Zambia’s copper industry, which is targeted to produce three million tons annually by 2031.
